Quartz Countertops Take An Outdated Sea Pines Home To A Dream Retreat Level

StoneWorks helped give an outdated Sea Pines home a beautiful makeover! The Barsteins, owners, wanted a dream retreat near the beach for themselves that could also be a rental home.

Kim Thorne of StoneWorks worked closely with Susan Miller, a designer working with Clear Cut Construction and now with Markraft Cabinets, to select quartz for five rooms in the home. Scroll down to see the results!

When undergoing a renovation, the kitchen really feels like your statement piece. The Barsteins chose light gray themes throughout the house and it really comes together with the large quartz countertop on the kitchen island. The brand is Viatera Calacatta Alpha and features eased and polished edging. The island includes a farmhouse sink, with holes for an air switch and the faucet.

The same type of quartz was also used in the laundry room. We love the functionality of the quartz top over laundry sorting baskets.

Following the gray theme, all five bathrooms were completed with quartz, only this product features a Viatera Cirrus in eased and polished edging.

Something unique to the bathrooms are the wall caps, corner shelves and curbs for the showers and sinks. This type of installment is both functional and decorative.

The quartz is a nice complement to the subway tile look throughout the house, especially the glass subway tile black splash in the kitchen. It invokes a clean and simple feel when you walk through the home.

Kim Thorn was the Sales Designer-in-Charge of the StoneWorks’ portion of the project. She mentioned that StoneWorks has worked with Susan Miller for 14 years and usually she comes to the table with a color palette in mind. “It’s then our job at StoneWorks to help steer them in the right direction with the right product,” Kim said.
