Commitment to Customers and Community

At StoneWorks, we’re passionate about what we do and driven to do more. Our “customer” service extends beyond the doors of our showroom. We value our employees, families, community and our customers. These relationships are of the utmost important to us … and that is evident in the way we treat our customers—like family, in how we recognize our employees for their hard work, and by the way we reach out to our community.

StoneWorks has a special interest in our local Special Olympics – an event we sponsor each spring. More than 400 Special Olympics athletes of all ages from Bluffton, Hilton Head, Beaufort, Hardeeville, and Ridgeland come together to compete in track and field events, and our employees are there to encourage them all along the way. In addition, we also support the Lowcountry Foundation for Wounded Military Heroes, the Hilton Head Symphony Orchestra, many other charities and local schools.

StoneWorks employees have been cleaning up Hunter Road together on Hilton Head Island since 2005 as part of the adopt-a-highway program. We help beautify the road at least four times each year. Throughout our many trash pick-ups over the years, we have hauled away over 500 bags of trash!

And recently, one of our employees demonstrated our commitment to our community by going the extra mile that quite possibly saved someone’s life …

A gentleman came into the showroom and explained he wasn’t feeling well and seemed to have difficulty standing. One of our employees, Martha Moore, jumped into action and personally drove him to the hospital. While the situation could have been life threatening, we are happy to report that Martha’s quick action led to a good outcome. He even returned the next day to thank Martha and make a deposit on new countertops!

“We encourage our employees to become involved in the community,” says Andy Johnson, StoneWorks CEO. “And we celebrate their contributions regularly, with cookouts and by recognizing them internally. And though it may sound like bragging, we often get letters thanking our staff for something they did above and beyond.”

We take pride in the quality work that we perform each day to improve the homes and businesses of our clients. But what’s even more important to us is leaving a lasting impact on the community that we call home through our outstanding customer service both on the job and beyond.
