POSITION DESCRIPTION: TEMPLATOR

DEPARTMENT:  Production

PAY RANGE:  $45,000-$65,000

 

GENERAL DESCRIPTION:

Templator will be responsible for taking the Job Work Order and Drawings to the job site, measure for countertops as well as designated areas such as fireplaces and walls, collecting all information to produce the job on time with 100% customer satisfaction. The applicant must ensure customer satisfaction and support StoneWorks core values in all aspects of the job.

JOB DUTIES:

  • Report to work on time, with a good attitude, ready to successfully complete the tasks for the day.

  • Templator is responsible for making sure you have all the necessary supplies and tools to complete the tasks for the day. This includes making sure the van is ready and a pre-trip has been performed, i.e., check tires, oil, fuel; you are responsible.

  • Templator is responsible for making sure the Proliner/Laser is charged, and the computer and printer are functioning properly.

  • Templator is responsible for any and all sinks that are StoneWorks or customer supplied to be brought to the jobsite from the warehouse.

  • On a daily basis scheduling will give a detailed account of the jobs for the day. The Templator MUST go thru each job in detail in order to understand what the customer wants and expects so we can achieve 100% customer satisfaction, meeting their expectations on time.

  • There will be interaction with the customer at the job site, you must be professional, courteous and respectful. Go over details of the job and make sure everybody expectations will be met.

  • Job Site Prep includes setting sinks in frames, adding ledger strips and brackets for support.

  • Measure the job with 100% accuracy using the tools that are supplied by StoneWorks.

  • Draw in Auto Cad and send all collected data to your internal customer with 100% accuracy.

  • Clean up your mess. Leave job site cleaner than you found it.

  • Be a Professional

 

PRIMARY INTERACTIONS

Internally – Shop employees, Installers, Template Manager, and CEO

Externally – Customers at job site

 

EDUCATION, KNOWLEDGE AND ABILITIES:

Experience using AutoCad required.

Other Knowledge and skills typically acquired through:

On the job training to include workshop type environments, hands-on training, 1 on 1 training with manager, and training with incumbents in various positions at StoneWorks.

  

Scope and Depth of technical skills/knowledge:
  • Limited knowledge of shop equipment

  • Limited knowledge of Microsoft Office products.

Scope and Depth of non-technical skills/knowledge:
  • Very good listening, communication (written and verbal) skills.

  • The ability to build and construct things is important.
