StoneWorks Project Gets Global Views

To paraphrase Edgar Allen Poe, “There are few cases in which mere popularity should be considered a proper test of merit,” but in the case of this recent project by StoneWorks, its popularity is a testament to the merit of the project, featuring exceptional substance and style. After being posted on the home decorating and remodeling website/app HOUZZ, this Palmetto Bluff kitchen received over 36,000 views around the world.

Collabrating with Markalunas Architecture and Resort Custom homes, StoneWorks has created a perfect example of what we refer to as Palmetto Bluff Lowcountry style.

The perimeter countertops are Mystic Grey granite, with a leathered finish, in deep charcoal grey. The leathered texture has to be touched to appreciate. The large center island is in a honed Turkish white marble, with 2.5" thickness. The island is quite large at over 13’ long - beautiful and functional – an anchoring centerpiece for this kitchen. The backsplash is painted brick - a white-washed painted brick to give it an old feel. - giving complementary but different colors between the perimeter counters to the large island. The exposed beams provide an old-world nod in a kitchen that’s fresh, modern, and with a style that will last forever!
