Barbara Williams, originally from Western NY, has been a resident of the Hilton Head / Bluffton area for 38 years. Barbara began working in the industry with her dad's tile business 30 years ago. She has been with StoneWorks 12 years. Barbara is our senior tile and stone consultant. Charles Arriola is in his 11th year at StoneWorks. He has made the low country his home for the last 26 years. Charles has previous experience in the construction industry that has proven to be beneficial to the tile and stone industry. Charles has distinguished himself as Top Salesperson for several years and continues to enjoy assisting clients in all aspects of their projects. He has thoroughly enjoyed serving on StoneWorks's Annual Oyster Roast Committee for the past four years. He also serves as a board member for the GA/SC Coastal Chapter of NKBA. Sadie Hanson is a South Carolina native. She has lived in the lowcountry for 27 years. For 15 of those years, she has worked within the tile and stone industry. Sadie is a self professed "tile nerd." She has an extremely loyal customer following due to her industry knowledge and friendly manner. She joined StoneWorks in 2008 and has proven to be an excellent addition to the team. John Baltzegar IV is 36 years old. He has a unique background, being that he is considerably young to have spent 20 years in the stone business. John is an artist of all mediums - painting, sculpture, wood, metal, and stone craft. At only 16 years old, his natural talents proved to be extremely helpful in the fabrication shop and in the field. Like many artists, John likes to do things differently. Many of StoneWorks's seemingly peculiar, yet sound methods for installation and fabrication were pioneered by John. He currently works in the digital template department. Joel Zak moved to the lowcountry from Grand Rapids, Michigan. He has 16 years of experience in the granite industry. Joel has spent time working in all phases of the operation including CNC operation and programming, CAD design, digital templating, and sales. Shannon Baltzegar Urriola is originally from North Augusta, SC. She has been with StoneWorks since 1997. She began by working in the cast stone operation. Shannon was involved in mixing sand / mortar and bossing around the boys. Soon after, she settled into the accounting office, where she spent over ten years as the company's financial controller. Kim Thorn has been with StoneWorks since 2008. She has seven years of experience in the stone industry. Kim lived all over the country ( NY, CT, NJ, NC, and Atlanta) before finally settling down in Hilton Head 24 years ago. Alan Pennypacker is originally from Thurmont, Maryland. Alan and his wife, Teena, moved to the lowcountry seven years ago. Alan's past experience includes working for the federal government and Westinghouse. He has been with StoneWorks for five years as warehouse manager and also acts as head of purchasing. Alan loves to be there when someone needs help, whether for work or personal matters. Alan is always someone that can be counted on. Alan volunteers his personal time to organize StoneWorks's charities and Christmas parades. When he's not working, he may be found bowling, RVing, boating, or relaxing at CoCo's by the beach.
