StoneWorks has been a member of the Stone Fabricators Alliance since 2009. This is a trade organization made up of stone fabrication professionals who are interested in learning and sharing the latest tools, methods, and knowledge of their trade. All members share the same desire to improve themselves, as well as the stone industry as a whole. Members converse daily / hourly online about seaming, polishing, routing, sourcing materials, etc. They also join together to participate in workshops around the country to continually improve upon their methods and talk amongst peers in the industry. The Stone Fabricators Alliance has a motto of "Learn, Share, Prosper." By that motto, the organization is a great fit for us at StoneWorks. | ||

To become an Accredited Natural Stone Fabricator by the Marble Institute of America, a company must have successfully completed three phases of application. Phase one is the completion of a lengthy application that requires the applicant company to provide various documents and references, which ensure that the company is in compliance with the 10 standards of accreditation as laid out by the MIA Accreditation Commission. Phase two requires the company's qualifying agent to pass an extensive exam. The exam tests the applicant's knowledge and application of material usage, installation, fabrication, restoration, care and maintenance, administration, legal/contracts and jobsite and shop safety. Phase three is a comprehensive site visit, which includes a facility review, document review, and one or more installation site visits. StoneWorks was the 35th natural stone fabricator to have achieved MIA accreditation. "We are incredibly honored to have received this illustrious designation, which is a direct reflection of the wonderful, professional staff and high standards at StoneWorks." - John Baltzegar III |
