Quartz surfacing has become increasingly popular, especially in the past several years. In a nutshell, the product is an engineered slab comprised of 90% quartz along with resins. The slabs are non porous, very scratch resistant, and extremely strong. The product requires no sealing and very little maintenance. Colors are consistent from slab to slab, so materials can usually be specified just by looking at a small sample. The color options available are huge. Many colors like pure white and consistent creams and grays are just not available in natural granite. Clients are able to get the look of limestone and marble without the fears of etching, staining, and scratching. This makes quartz very popular with designers.
There are several different Quartz manufacturers that differ mainly by the colors that they produce. StoneWorks has access to all of the major quartz lines including Caesarstone, Silestone, Cambria, Hanstone, and Dupont Zodiaq.
